SPREADSHEETS
  Spreadsheets contain three types of data.

Examples of Spreadsheets

There are three types of data (or information) that can be entered
into a spreadsheet

1. Label
data entered as text, like a word or a letter e.g. Excel is fun
is entered into cell A1.

2. Value
any number on which calculations can be performed
e.g. the numbers 12,15 and 27 are entered into cells A2, A3, and A4.

3. Formula
a mathematical statement, which must always begin with an equal sign (=) that tells the
computer to perform a calculation
e.g. =A2+A3
This adds the contents of cell
A2 and A3.
