This project is a template and resource for the study of local history, particularly in areas where “nothing important ever happened.”
The subject area is SESE – History and is designed for pupils of 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th classes.
The aim is to show that every locality has a rich past and to develop an appreciation of, and empathy with, the ways in which people’s lives changed in the 20th century.

ICT - The project can involve the use of tape-recorders, digital
cameras, word-processing and PowerPoint presentations.
The time allowed for the project should be about 4-6 weeks.
