Looking at & Responding to .... Construction ... Looking at Sand Sculpture . . . Horrific Golf Sandboxers, BC, Canada

Why is Horrific Golf such a good name for this sculpture? What has happened the golfer in the front of the picture?

Why are the golfers wearing masks? Can you suggest any other name for this sculpture? What is the person sitting doing? Why does he not help the person in the WATER TRAP? Why does he have a happy mask?

Do you think it is funny that the figure in the WATER TRAP is being washed away? What will happen to this sculpture when the tide comes in?

Tell us what you think of Horrific Golf

Task: Visit Magnificant Masks and make a mask that could be worn by an onlooker. Take a picture of it or draw what you have made and sent it to us for our Gallery.

If you are off to the beach and want to try to make some sculpture click here for some help.

Daniel Doyle (Balgriffin, Co. Dublin) and Niall Magee (Blessington, Co. Wicklow) were part of the third-place team in the World Championships in 2005. Well done! Visit Harrisand and see their work.
