Use the DTP facilities of such programmes as Word or Publisher to create your own local history booklet. Research and develop your text from sites listed in the links section of this website. After you have completed entering your text you may then add appropraite images locted within this site. If you wish to expand your search by using Google Images, it is imperative that all your preferances are set to "Strict filtering." One of the big advantages of computers and wordprocessing is that you can print several copies of your booklet. Also, you can add to your booklet on a regular basis also. Remember, you can bring a digital copy of your booklet with you, when you proceed to secondary schools. Also, if your school participates in the Commenius project, a local history booklet would be an ideal means of introducing your school to other schools abroad.
