One of the projects the children may undertake could be compare Carlow
today with Carlow long ago. For safety reasons it may be more practical to get the
children to use these photographs when compiling their comparisons. Also, as the years go
by these images will acquire a historical worth of their own.An interesting exercise also
would be to get the children to identify the location of these images. See Project Ideas also for more suggestions.
These photographs are also ideal for use in geography. Particularly
useful for teaching children about their own locality.
These images are a selection of what is available. Click on thumbnail to enlarge. Right
click to save photograph onto your own computer, for use in project work etc. Ideal for
white board usage also.
