This site contains practical, easy to use
resources that can be used to develop literacy and numeracy skills of the emergent
learner. I created these resources using Microsoft Word. Therefore your machine must have
Word installed to view them correctly. The resources are designed to be printed up on
single A4 sheets. They come in two formats[1] Flip Cards [2] Word grids. The Flip cards
must be folded horizontally to create the flip card effect. The Word Attack grids are to
be used as is. Please read guidelines carefully.
Some files have been compressed for speedier downloading.
If you do not have Winzip you can download it from http://www.winzip.com
To download these resources click on the relevant link on the left
of the screen. You will see a variety of resources underlined. Bring your mouse pointer to
the resource link of your choice. Right click. A menu box appears. Select the "Save
target as..." option. You can then download the relevant resource to the location of
your choice.
In total there are circa 684 literacy and 800 numeracy individual
A4 sheets on this site. These resources are grouped thematically.
